In my role as Project Coordinator at WQED Education, I’ll be at the Wilkinsburg library on Wednesdays with a vision of creating an interactive story with youth in preparation for the fall with when they will join our Inquire Within network. I plan to use Glow in Dark and electric paints to explore science and media literacy. This weekend, I created a prototype that I can use to introduce myself to students and help them imagine what’s possible over the six weeks.
In 2016, I purchased a Bare Conductive Starter Kit to test our initial design thoughts for WOOSH Interactive Table. It was not the right medium for the design. Welp, then I decided to take it with me when I went boarding with F.A.M.E. Academy. And when I was invited to Google Pittsburgh’s Geek Street Fair I considered using it again but opt to take a Polaroid Pocket Printer, Glow in the Dark Paint and LED Light stripe which was a hit.
As create this prototype I was listening to music via my Google Home Mini and decided to be ridiculous and connected my old work with my new work. In addition, to my role at WQED, I recently co-founded C.C. Busy an early stage software company using voice assistants (like Alexa and Google Assistant) to log child care providers daily interactions.
I made videos to document my work. I used CyberLink products (Power Director 16 and Wave Editor) to create these videos then uploaded to YouTube before embedding in this blog post.
Fun Facts about my love for Google:
