This year the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) theme is A Universe of Stories. I love it because you can escape to a new universe in a book. This summer I have a personal challenge to read or listen to forty books. This week, I stop by my local branch and registered for the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Summer Reading program.
Pittsburgh residents, did you know?
- You can register as an individual or family for the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Summer Reading online; to learn more, click here.
- Audiobooks and e-books also count towards your reading log, so log them too. To check out the eResources available with the CLPGH library card, click here. I love Hoopla Digital.
- The library offers a number of reading recommendations to help kickstart you reading adventure. You can find the readling list by reading level, type or genre.
Stop by the Main branch for a new experience.
Have you heard about Carnegie’s Monocle? It’s an augmented-reality app that highlights Pittsburgh History at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Main branch in Oakland. Download the app via Google Play, here.
Whether you’re visiting the Main branch or your local branch don’t forget to register for Summer Reading. Log your reading to earn prizes, free books, and raffle tickets! Policy update! Grandparents can register their grandchildren for Summer Reading at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
There are many little ways to enlarge your child’s world. Love of books is the best of all.
