The Beauty of S.T.E.M.®, developed by TEKStart, is a studio series to design and fabricate fashion that integrates technology. ​Youth participating in the studio sessions will be introduced to basic electronics, e-textile materials, and wearable technology. They will gain knowledge of common terms and get experience with the tools of the industry through the fabrication or repurposing process required to create their garments. We provide youth with materials to design and fabricate their very own pieces to be modeled in the fashion show. Youth also participate in Lunch and Learn activities to be introduced to career opportunities in fashion technology, the technology sector, or the fashion industry.
